Move
Possible Data Loss
If you move a document which has Annotations from an Archive where you do not have Modify Annotation permissions to an Archive where you do have Annotation permissions, the source file will be replaced by a PDF with the annotations permanently burned in. This is a permanent change.
Data Loss
Table field data is not expected to carry over to a new archive when a document is moved to a different archive. (While in use if you move documents to a sub archive that has exactly the same table fields the data will move over.) But that is not the expectation.
To move a document from one Archive to another within the current database or an Inbox, you must first have permission to add documents to the destination Archive or Inbox. When moving a document, only data in the Fields which are in both Archives will appear. You will not be prompted for indexing data at the time of the move. This can result in Required Fields that may not be populated in the document’s new location.
When moving documents, only data present in index fields that are shared will be visible. All other data associated to the document via index fields will be retained in the database, but not visible in the archive. When moving a document to an Inbox, data is lost.
You must have Move rights in the source location and Add rights in the destination location. Contact your GlobalSearch Administrator for your permission settings.
